Since then the market has grown strongly, helped by more favourable economic conditions, and even in 2008 and 2009 when the overall economy worsened, sales continued to boom. By 2011 the market was worth around Pesos 539 million (US$ 130.7 million). The market is heavily centred on baby milks, which in 2011 accounted for around 86.3% of sales value.
