About DCS
DCS are decentralized automated control systems that are distributed across an organization. Their distribution is such that each component or sub-system of a manufacturing plant is controlled by one or more controllers, following which, instructions can be provided to different parts of the plant. Each section of the plant controls its own operations as there is no centralized control system. Decentralization enables DCS to provide effective and efficient control and management to the entire plant. DCS also facilitate reduction in downtime errors and increase the plant's productivity.
