Global handset sell-through, meanwhile, reached 1.6bn units in 2012. We project that the figure will rise to 2.3bn by 2017, translating into a CAGR of 4.9%. As for Android-powered smartphones, we expect sell-through will grow at a 20.5% CAGR from 2012 to 2017, when the OS will take 59% of total sell-through. Smartphone ASPs will continue to decline across all regions, albeit at a slightly slower -7% CAGR.
