About AMC CPU Cards
AMCs are the printed circuit boards that follow the specifications of PICMG, which is a consortium of over 227 companies that collaboratively develop open specifications for high-performance telecommunications and industrial computing applications. AMC product standards are designed to support AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA systems. AMC modules are the key for building MicroTCA platforms, to extend the value of AdvancedTCA platforms, and to integrate proprietary platforms with the necessary functionality. AMCs offer high data throughput via high-speed serial interconnections, high manageability through interoperability checks, and high serviceability through hot-swap capability. They also offer serial interfaces and support different transport systems such as peripheral component interconnect express, gigabit Ethernet, and 10 gigabit Ethernet.
