About Central Air Conditioning System
A central air conditioning system distributes air through ductwork to provide cooling, ventilation, heating, and control humidity in houses, large commercial buildings, and industrial plants. The ductwork has an air handler, air supply system, air return duct, and grilles and register that circulates cooled air from central air conditioning units to the closed areas. There are two types of central air conditioning systems: direct expansion central air conditioning systems and chilled water central air conditioning systems. In direct expansion central air conditioning systems, air is cooled directly by the refrigerant and in the chilled water central air conditioning systems, chilled water or brine solution is used to cool the air. An increase in the per capita income of people and a rise in the global temperature have led to the growing adoption of central air conditioning systems.
