Hospital stretchers are medical equipment that are used to transport patients within or outside a healthcare facility. They are primarily used in acute hospital care situations such as emergency, military, rescue services during accidents, and general medical services. Stretchers are helpful in moving patients from one place to another that require medical care. Most of the stretchers are simple, lightweight, made of metal or other synthetic materials, and suspended between two tubular frames. These are widely used in radiology, and as surgical platforms, examination desks, and hospital beds, apart from patient transportation. Based on the technology, hospital stretchers can be categorized into two types: motorized and non-motorized.
