About Positive Airway Pressure Devices
Positive airway pressure (PAP) devices are used in intensive care units (ICUs), coronary care units (CCUs), operating rooms, and emergency wards of hospitals. PAP devices are pre-dosed pressure delivery systems that ensure upper airway pressure flow to keep the airways open during the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Congestive heart failure, sleep apnea, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are the main indications for the use of PAP devices. The three types of PAP devices available in the market are CPAP, BiPAP, and APAP.
