About generators
Generators are devices that convert mechanical energy into electric energy. The source of mechanical energy can be internal combustion engine, hand crank, compressed air, or reciprocating steam engine. Internal combustion engine uses diesel, gasoline, propane gas, and natural gas to produce mechanical energy, and this mechanical energy is converted into electric energy with the help of generator assembly. Generators are backup devices designed to provide temporary AC or DC power. They can be used as a source of backup or emergency power for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. A typical generator is powered via a fuel engine. Based on portability, a generator can be segmented into portable and standby.
