New Jersey Transit Bus Operations Inc has been appointed as Associate developer for the project.
Gannett Fleming has been appointed to undertake the preliminary and final design activities on the project.
The in-house division of Amtrak is undertaking the design and construction works for the project.
In October 2011, Construction works on the project commenced.
In 2012, Federal government provided US$450 million funding for the project implementation.
Construction works are underway and expected to be complete by 2019.
