According to the latest statistics, China’s independent automobile steering device brands hold about 85% market share in the field of commercial vehicles, forming a solid foundation for domestic brands, and about 50% market share in the field of passenger vehicles, where the competition with foreign brands is much fiercer. Foreign-owned enterprises and joint ventures are dominant in China’s high and middle-end passenger vehicle market and high-end commercial vehicle market.

In the field of sedan-accessories, the high technical barrier of joint ventures makes the domestic manufacturers hard to expand the business. Therefore, those Chinese enterprises have no choice but to target on independent brands which have a market share less than 30%, resulting a narrow marketing space and limited development scale.
