Summary
Chrysaor Ltd (Chrysaor) and Premier Oil Plc (PMO) are jointly undertaking the Solan Oil Field Development project in North Sea, the UK.

The project involves the construction of an oil field with a capacity to produce around 24,000 barrels per day (BPD) of oil initially. The oil field will be able to produce about 40 million barrels of oil over its lifetime.

It will include the construction of storage tanks and distribution units, the laying of pipelines and the installation of machinery.

In May 2011, PMO acquired a 60% stake in the project.

Chrysaor appointed RPS Energy as the consultant to undertake field surveys and project planning services.

Atkins Global has been appointed as consulting engineer to provide front end engineering and design (FEED) services. The scope of the contract includes preparing conceptual designs, process and mechanical engineering, structural design and assessment services in relation to the project.

Awilco Drilling PLC has been appointed to undertake the drilling activities for the project. Awilco is responsible for the provision of WilPhoenix for the project.

Burntisland Fabrications has been awarded a contract for procurement and fabrication of topsides of platforms and jacket.

Heerema Group has been awarded a contract for installation of jacket, topsides and a sub-sea tank.

ADIL has been appointed as EPC contractor for sub-sea storage tanks.

Offshore Design Engineering Ltd has been appointed as engineering design contractor.

In April 2012, PMO received approval from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) for development of the project.

In September 2012, Ocean Installer was appointed as surveyor to perform offshore survey operations in support to develop the project.

In April 2013, Aker Solutions won a contract to provide hook-up, commissioning and facility management services to Premier Oil.

In September 2014, PMO completed the installation of subsea oil storage tank, jacket and topsides on the oilfield.

Increases in water injection pump are underway for which Amarinth Ltd wins an order to supply booster pumps.
