Summary
Department of Roads Sao Paulo (DERSA) is developing the Alto Tiete Highways Duplication project in Alto Tiete region in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The project involves the duplication of four highways (SP-56, SP-88, SP-98, SP-66), two accessions (SPA 058/031 and SPA 172/060) and vicinal (Road Manoel Luiz de Souza).

It also includes the asphalting of the highway, widening, construction of bridges, pedestrian crossing, bus bays and bike lines.

The duplication of highway SP-56 will undergo works in two distinct parts. The first part of the project is between km 35 and km 43.3 which meets Itaquaquecetuba and Aruja, duplication of 8.3km of track and bridges towards SP-70 (Highway Ayrton Senna) and on the railway line.

The second part of the project on SP-56 will be duplicated to meets Aruja, Santa Isabel, and Igarata. It also includes resurfacing and paving of shoulders on targeted sections: from km 46.6 to km 58.8 and km 61 to km 78.25.

The SP-88 Rodovia Pedro Eroles project involves duplication of the road on stretch (between km 32 to km 40.6) and deployment of four devices in height of (km 32, km 32.4, km 34.6 and km 38.4) on the SP-88 highway. The works on this stretch will be placed between Mogi das Cruzes and Arujá.

The project also involves the duplication works on SP-98 - Road Dom Paulo Loureiro Rolim, SP-066 - Roads General Henry and Eroles Euryale Jesus Zerbine and on access route linking the SP-031 (Highway Indio Tibirica).

MWE - Pavimentação e Construção was awarded construction contract for duplication of highway SP-056 and construction works are underway on the first phase of the project.

Galvão Engenharia is responsible for the construction works on Mogi-Dutra (SP-88) section.

Construction works on SP-056 has been completed.

In July 2015, Departamento de Estradas de Rodagem (DER) canceled the tender process of Galvão Engenharia for duplication of Mogi-Dutra (SP-88) section.
