The Department of Transport, (DoT) Western Australia is planning to upgrade a road section in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. The project involves the upgrade of the Joondalup Drive Interchange. It includes the construction of two two-lane roads, interchanges, bridges, road intersections, service roads, culverts and related infrastructure, and the installation of signaling and safety systems. The Government of Australia will provide US$31 million and the Government of Western Australia will provide US$8 million funding for the project development. The Metropolitan Road Improvement Alliance has been appointed as study consultant. In October 2017, a public meeting was held to discuss the project plans. In November 2017, DoT issued a request for expression of interest. BMD Constructions Pty Ltd, CPB Contractors Pty Ltd, Cut and Fill Pty Ltd and Georgiou Pty Ltd have been shortlisted to submit the tender for the design-build contract.
