Summary
The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) is undertaking the construction of Central Quad of Grangegorman Campus Development project at Dublin College campus in Ireland.

The project involves the construction of a new building block on a 36,000m2 area. It includes the construction of classrooms, laboratory, library, cafeteria, and other related facilities.

Sheppard Robson and Mullarkey Pedersen Architects were appointed as architects, JV Tierney & Co as mechanical and electrical engineers, Malone O'Regan as civil and structural consultants, Healy Kelly Turner & Townsend as a technical consultant, and Eversheds as legal advisor for the project.

The National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) was appointed as the procuring body acting for and on behalf of the Minister of Education & Skills and the financial advisor for the project.

On October 31, 2013, NDFA invited contract notice for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) consortium. Five submissions were received and three consortia have been shortlisted, namely BAM PPP, Eurigena Group and Kajima Infrared.

BAM PPP includes Ireland based BAM Building Ltd and BAM FM Ireland Ltd. Eurigena Group includes Spanish contractor FCC Construcción SA and Dublin-based John Sisk & Son along with facility management service providers Mitie and Noonan Services. Kajima Infrared consists of UK based Brookfield Multiplex Construction Europe and HSG Zander Ireland Facilities Services.

On April 28, 2014, the Request for Qualification (RFQ) documents was floated for the three PPP consortia.

In March 2015, Eriugena consortium comprises Macquarie Capital Group Ltd as an Equity Provider, John Sisk & Son (Holdings) Ltd and FCC Construction (Ireland) Ltd as a Construction Contractors and Sodexo Ireland Ltd, Noonan Services Group Ltd as a Facilities Management Provider(s).

On May 22, 2015, Eurigena consortium submitted planning applications to Dublin City Council. On July 16, 2015, planning permissions were awarded.

In December 2015, High Court lifted an automatic suspension of the construction contract, which prevented in concluding the contract.

In April 2017, Eurigena Group was finalized as a construction contractor.

The project is funded by the European Investment Bank, MUFG, Sun Life Investment Managers and Talanx Asset Management.

In March 2018, Financial closure achieved the project.

As of April 2018, Pre-construction works are underway. Major construction works are expected to commence by the end of April 2018 and to be completed in September 2020.
