About Artificial Lift Pumps
An artificial lift pump is a system installed in oil wells to increase the pressure within the reservoir and encourage oil to travel to the surface. When there is insufficient natural force inside the well to push the oil to the surface, artificial lift pumps are used to pump out the oil. Globally, more than 70 percent of oil wells have lost the natural pressure inside them and are in their mature phase. Hence, they require artificial lift pumps to extract oil to meet the growing demands of the market.
Technavio’s analysts forecast the Global Artificial Lift Pumps market will grow at a CAGR of 9.08 percent over the period 2013-2018.
