About Cumene
Cumene is an organic compound that is also known as isopropylbenzene. It is formed by an aliphatic replacement of aromatic compounds and is a division of refined fuels and crude oil. Cumene is produced by reacting propylene and benzene. Isopropylbenzene has applications in the production of other chemicals such as phenol, acetone, and paints and enamels. Cumene compounds that are manufactured on an industrial scale are converted into cumene hydroperoxide.
