Chest and back in men and legs in women are the most likely parts to be affected with melanoma. CM, MM, and OM are the three major categories of melanoma. The exact etiology of melanoma is unknown. According to the American Skin Association, the incidence of melanoma is increasing worldwide. The median age of diagnosis is 59 years and the median age of death due to melanoma is 67 years.
