About Military Night Vision Device
A night vision device is used to enhance visibility in extremely low light conditions. It is an optoelectronic device that displays an illuminated view of the surrounding environment. The view generated by the device can be a conversion from both visible spectrums of light and near-infrared (IR) radiations. Thermal IR detection is referred to as thermal imaging, and is used in night vision devices to provide visibility when no ambient light is available for illumination and to increase visibility in a degraded visual environment that involves fogs, mist, or storms.
