Summary
Goldsol II Pty Ltd (Goldsol), a consortium between TMM Renewables (Pty) Ltd, Gesto Energy and 3E Power Solar, is planning to undertake the construction of a solar power plant project in Rwinkwavu.

The project involves the construction of solar power plant with a generation capacity of 10MW. The project includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation and related facilities, the installation of solar panels, safety and security systems, and the laying of transmission lines.

In December 2013, the project was awarded to the Goldsol consortium through a competitive tender process run by the Energy Water and Sanitation Authority (EWSA).

In May 2014, Goldsol and EWSA signed a power purchase agreement (PPA). According to the agreement, EWSA will be buying electricity from Goldsol at a cost of US$0.17 per kilowatt/hour.

In the second quarter 2015, Martifer Solar was appointed as an EPC contractor.
