L&T Arunachal Hydropower Ltd (L&T AHL), a subsidiary of L&T, is planning to build a Hydroelectric power plant on Tagurshit River in West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, India.
The project involves the construction of a 74MW power plant.
It includes the construction of powerhouse, switchyard and other associated facilities, and the installation of turbines, generators, and safety systems; the laying of transmission lines.
WAPCOS Ltd was appointed as the environmental impact assessment (EIA) study consultant.
In July 2012, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
On September 24, 2013, the draft environmental impact assessment (EIA) and environment. management plan (EMP) report was submitted to the Arunachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (APSPCB).
AECS Engineering & Geotechnical Services Pvt. Ltd has been appointed as a geotechnical consultant.
On September 3, 2015, the final EIA and EMP report has submitted to the Ministry of Environment.
In September 2015, the project was recommended for Environmental Clearance (EC) by Expert Appraisal Committee.
In the first quarter of 2017, the geotechnical investigation was completed.
L&T AHL has obtained the EC and awaiting for Forest Clearance.
