Midal Cables Ltd (MIDAL) is planning to undertake the construction of an Aluminum Conductor and Rod Manufacturing Plant in Odisha, India.

The project involves the construction of an aluminum conductor and rod manufacturing facility on 5ha of land with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes per annum. It will include the construction of a production unit, a blast furnace, storage space, a metal refining unit, a slicing unit and a fabrication unit.

MIDAL submitted proposals to Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha Ltd (IPICOL) to set up a plant.

In July 2014, IDCO allotted 5ha land to MIDAL for the project.

In October 2015, the project received approval from State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA).
