Summary
PT Pertamina (PERT) is undertaking the construction of Cilacap Blue Sky Refinery project in Central Java, Indonesia.

The project involves the revamping of a semi regent platforming unit with a capacity of 14.1 Thousand Barrels per Stream Day (MBSD) to CCR Platforming with a capacity 18.6 MBSD and construction of a new isomerization unit with a capacity of 21.5 MBSD.

The project will include the construction of storage tanks, a processing unit, truck loading facilities, an administrative facility, parking facility, and the installation of relevant machinery.

In April 2013, Pertamina initiated the tendering process for the project and 13 national companies and foreign companies expressed interest in the project. Two consortiums namely JGC-JGC Indonesia and Toyo-IKPT were pre-qualified for the project. However, the tender was later canceled.

In early 2015, Pertamina commenced a fresh pre-qualification process.

In October 2015, JGC Corporation was awarded the contract for the engineering, procurement, and construction.

In June 2016, construction works commenced and are underway. Project is expected to complete in 2018.
