Scope
The project involves the construction of a central gas -processing facility with a capacity of 420 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) near Ain Tsila, Illizi province, Algeria.

The US$2,000 million project includes the following:

1. Construction of a central processing facility

2. Construction of a 100km export pipeline

3. Construction of water separation unit

4. Construction of LPG recovery unit

5. Construction of condensate recovery unit

6. Construction of a gas compression unit

7. Construction of export pumps

8. Construction of access roads

9. Installation of other related facilities
Summary
Petroceltic, in a joint venture with Sonatrach and Enel, is undertaking the development of gas condensate field near Ain Tsila, Illizi basin, Algeria.

The project involves the construction of a central gas-processing facility (CPF) with 420 mmscfd capacity, drilling of 124 vertical wells, a water separation unit, condensate and LPG recovery units, a gas compression unit, export pumps, a 100km export pipeline to the Tin Fouye Tabankort (TFT) field for connection to the Algeria Gas Transmission System, and access roads.

Petroceltic was awarded operatorship of the Isarene PSC in April 2005.

In 2009, the Ain Tsila site was discovered and Petroceltic applied for a two-year extension period. During this period, the Group successfully drilled six delineation wells on the Ain Tsila structure.

In 2012, Petroceltic was awarded a 30-year exploitation license, and an 18.375% share was given to Enel.

In mid 2013, the "Groupement Isarene" a joint operating organization was formed to develop the field.

Petroceltic retains a 38.25% interest in the Isarene PSC, while Sonatrach with Enel have 43.375% and 18.375% shares respectively.

In September 2014, a FEED Contract was awarded to CB&I for the gas plant development, three associated pipelines and well collection.

Design activities commenced on the project.

In early 2015, Petroceltic International plc issued a pre-qualification tender for the selection of the companies to participate in the main tender for the EPC contract.

On April 27, 2015, The drilling rig contract awarded to Sinopec (China Petrochemical Corporation). The 1,500 horsepower rig, which can drill up to 24 new development wells.

In August 2015, Petroceltic International plc pre-qualified four consortiums to participate in the main tender for the EPC contract:

i) Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd

ii) GS Engineering Corporation and Dodsal Engineering & Construction PTE Ltd

iii) JGC Corporation and JGC Algeria S.p.A

iv) Tecnidas Reunidas SA and Bonatti S.p.A

In early 2016, the pre-qualified companies submitted the bids for the EPC contract.

In February 2016, Sinopec commenced the drilling works and first well drilling completed in April 2016.

Sinopec commenced the drilling of the second well in April 2016, and as of May 14, 2016 the well reached a total depth of 2020m.
