Summary
The Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is planning to upgrade a highway in New South Wales, Australia.

The project involves the upgrade of 10.5km of Princess Highway from Berry to Bomaderry. It includes the construction of four-lane road covering Schofields Lane, Berry and Cambewarra Road, Bomaderry, a half interchange at Pestells Lane and Meroo Road, an underpass at Devitt's Lane and Morschels Lane for local road access, an overpass at Strongs Road and Jaspers Brush Road for local road access, eight bridges over waterways, relocation and upgrade of existing bus stops at Mullers Lane, Croziers Road, Strongs Road, Morschels Lane, Lamonds Lane and Boxsells Lane, and the installation of safety and security systems.

In November 2013, RMS displayed the review of environmental factors and concept road design.

In 2013, the NSW Government allocated US$9 million funds to progress planning work.

On January 12, 2014, a contract was awarded to Hyder Consulting Pty Ltd in order to carry out detailed design work.

In June 2016, NSW government committed US$13 million in the 2016 - 2017 state budget for the project.

In June 2017, NSW government committed US$14.4 million in the 2017 - 2018 state budget for the project.

In September 2017, RMS short listed and invited four companies for tenders with the last submission date as December 4, 2017.

The shortlisted tender companies includes: Fulton Hogan Pty Ltd, York Civil Pty Ltd, Downer/Seymour Whyte Joint Venture and Georgiou/Nace Civil Joint Venture.

Construction contractor will be appointed in the first quarter of 2018 and construction works are scheduled to commence in second quarter of 2018 and slated for completion in 2021.
