Reseau de Transport d’Electricite (RTE) is undertaking the laying of a 225KV underground transmission line between the cities of Lorient and Saint-Brieuc, France.

The project involves the laying of an 76km long 225KV underground cable transmission lines, reactors at Calan and Plaine-Haute substations and the renovation of the existing substations.

The project cost is US$155 million of which US$103 million has been allocated for the laying of the 80km long underground transmission line and US$52 million for the renovation of substations and its maintenance.

On October 6, 2015, the construction activities commenced.
