Davis Langdon (formely known as AECOM Middle East) has been appointed as the design consultant; Norway's Snohetta as architect; Buro Happold and Walter P Moore as structural engineers; seele GmbH as Roofing and cladding Contract; Electronic & Electrical Industries Corporation as electrical engineer; Saudi Oger Ltd as construction contractor; HESS TIMBER GmbH & Co. as the supply contract; Zamil Industrial Investment Co as steel supply contract.

On May 20, 2008, the foundation stone was laid, marking the construction start.

In September 2009, Samsung Engineering Co.Ltd and ATELIER BRÜCKNER awarded advanced technology contract with a scope covering design of integrated applications, a data center, intelligent building management system and technology-intensive exhibits.

Construction works are underway with completion scheduled by the end of January 2017.
