Summary
Town of Avon (ToA) and Ensign Bickford Industries Inc (EBI) are planning to build a mixed-use complex in Avon, Hartford County, the US.

The project involves the construction of a mixed-use complex on 37.6ha of land. It includes the construction of four apartment buildings ranging from three- to four-stories with 212 units, a 22,018m2 of retail complex with stores, restaurants and a supermarket, three office buildings, parking and other related facilities.

The Cecil Group has been appointed as architect, Stevens Land Architecture as landscape architect, Milone & MacBroom, Inc. as consulting engineer and Carpionato Properties Inc as contractor.



The Avon Planning and Zoning Commission (APZC) held consultations with EBI to discuss project plans on November 4, 2010.

On December 13, 2011, EBI submitted project conceptual master plans to APZC and secured the approval in February 2012.

On July 28, 2015, EBI presented detailed project plans to APZC.

On November 17, 2015, ToA and EBI obtained planning approvals from Avon Planning and Zoning Commission.

In May 2016, ToA and EBI are awaiting for construction approval from Avon planning and zoning commission.

On October 21, 2016, excavation works at the project site commenced and are underway.
