Summary
Windlab Developments USA (WLD), a subsidiary of Windlab Systems is planning to construct a wind farm in Huron County, Ohio, the US.

The project involves the construction of a 60MW wind park with 25 turbines of 149m high on 1,882ha of land. It includes the construction of a substation, access roads and related infrastructure, the installation of transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.

On August 25, 2014, WLD secured approvals from the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) for the implementation of the project.

In September 2014, opponents requested the OPSB for rehearing on the proposed project.

The board denied the application for rehearing. On August 27, 2015, The OPSB again approves the proposed project.

By September 2015, The project is receiving heavy opposition from the Huron county community residents.

In June 2016, WLD and Greenwich Neighbors United held a meeting inviting OPSB to discuss the effects, issues, setbacks and waivers due to the project development.
