Recent years, surgical robots have wide application in minimally invasive surgery. Da Vinci Surgical System mainly apply to urology surgery, general surgery, cardiac surgery, gynecological surgery, and thoracic surgery; in global records, it applied in gynecological surgery most often.
Chinese PLA general hospital was the first hospital in China introduced Da Vinci Surgical System in 2006; by the end of 2014 there were 24 hospitals had applied Da Vinci Surgical System, 29 Systems had installed. Over 5000 surgeries had finished through Da Vinci Surgical System in 2014.
In recent two years, sales of Da Vinci Surgical System growing quick. Chindex Medical Co., Ltd had sold 38 Systems to China, 57 applications have approved by Ministry of Health. ASKCI predicts there are about 60 Da Vinci Surgical Systems accumulating installed by the end of 2015 in China; and 120 accumulating installed in 2018.
