In an article published in ‘Auto Car Pro ‘, dated August 5, 2015, it became known to the world that Delcam is making the most of the increasing demand for company’s CAD solution from automobile manufacturers in India . This, United Kingdom based CAM (also known as computer – aided manufacturing) software provider confirms that India is witnessing a tremendous growth in the automobile segment and that the fortune of this industry is improving in the country. Furthermore, Vineeth Seth, MD responsible for the South Asia as well as Middle East region at Delcam while addressing the ‘Delcam Asian Technical Summit – 2015’ revealed that the company had stated its Indian operation in the 2000 with just three employees and now house about 120 engineers.
Commenting on Delcam’s product portfolio Vineeth said “Most of our products have their roots in the automobile industry. Today Delcam is recognised as the largest CAM vendor in the country besides having a leadership position in automotive manufacturing applications.” He further explained “OEMs like Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Mahindra & Mahindra use software solutions like PowerMill and PowerInspect, provided by Delcam in India, in their manufacturing processes. “Like Delcam several CAD/CAM companies are expanding their business in across Asia.
Recently, Research Beam has added a report titled “CAD Market in the Automotive Sector in APAC 2015-2019.” As per the market research report the CAD industry especially in the automobile segment would register a CAGR of about 9.16 percent during the forecast period of 2014 to 2015.
