Report Overview
About containerboard
Containerboard is used to manufacture corrugated boxes or containers. It consists of an outer surface or facings called linerboard and an intervening fluting called corrugated medium. Linerboard is made from a mixture of Kraft and recycled pulps. A linerboard containing more than 80% virgin Kraft pulp is a Kraftliner and less than 80% is a Testliner. Integrated containerboard manufacturers produce their own raw materials for the production of containerboard. These manufacturers use containerboard to produce corrugated board boxes and also sell standalone corrugated board sheets.
Technavio's analysts forecast the containerboard market in Latin America to grow at a CAGR of 3.12% over the period 2014-2019.
