Report Overview
The Canton of Vaud (CoV) and Lausanne City Council (LCC) are jointly undertaking construction of the Lausanne Museumsquartier complex, with three buildings with a gross floor area of 23,000m2 in Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland.
The project involves the construction of the Pôle Muséal Musuem building with a gross floor area of 8,090m2, the Musée de Design et d’Arts Appliqués Contemporains building (MUDAC), the Fotomuseum Elysée building, auditoriums, a cafeteria, exhibition and commercial facilities, restaurants, an administrative building and parking facilities.
The Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts museum building (MCBA) design is known as the Pôle Muséal.
In 2011, a design contract was awarded to Barozzi Veiga for the MCBA.
bogner.cc KG has been appointed as a planner for the Pôle Muséal Musuem building.
The selection process for a design contractor is underway for the MUDAC and the Fotomuseum Elysée buildings.
The design contract was awarded to Aires Mateus & Associados in October 2015.
In October 2016, the construction works commenced.
