Summary
Chilean group Mater LNG is developing the Araquari Biofuel Refinery Development over a total area of 8000,000m2 at the municipality of Araquari, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
The project involves the construction of raw material storage space, a processing unit, fermentation unit, storage tanks, distillation unit, pipelines, pumping stations and installation of equipment.
The project will invest US$1180 million for the construction of the biofuel refinery complex.
The US$190 of the project will be invested for adequacy of infrastructure, pipelines, bidirectional load and unload materials, measurements and pumping stations.
The new unit will concentrate manufacture biodiesel from palm oil and algae.
The developer has signed the memorandum of understanding with the state government of Santa Catarina for the installation of the plant.
The Developer has finalized the deal of land in the municipality of Araquari which is under group Beto Carrero, the current owner of the land.
Grupo Vento will be responsible for the supply of equipment, detail design, constructional engineering, and assembly work.
The project has received required approval and is now looking for financial companies for the development of the project which is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2018.
