Summary
Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) is undertaking the construction of a mixed-use complex in Kentron district, Yerevan, Armenia.

The project involved the construction of a mixed-use complex on 2.2ha of land. It includes construction of two- and three-story houses, cafes, restaurants, shops, showrooms, art galleries, museums, a hotel, parking and related facilities.

Glendale Hills CJSC has been appointed as contractor and Levon Vardanyan Architect Company as master planner.

In 2012, MoUD filed an application with Ministry of Culture (MoC) to demolish the old historical buildings for the proposed development.

In 2014, MoC approved the demolition proposal of the buildings appealed by MoUD.

In November 2014, Government of Armenia (GoA) held administrative meeting to discuss the investment required for the project.

On December 2, 2014, a development investment agreement is signed between the GoA on behalf of MoUD with Multicontinental Distribution LLC (MD) a subsidiary of Chrono Star International Participations Groupe Franck Muller S.A.

Demolition works are underway and redevelopment is expected to complete by 2020.
