Summary
Uttarakhand Infrastructure Projects Co. (UIPC), a joint venture (JV) between Government of Uttarakhand (GoU) and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS), is planning to build a rope-way in Uttarakhand, India.

The project involves the construction of a 5km rope-way system. It will be developed in two phases.

The first phase includes the construction of 3km from Purkul to Hathipaon.

The second phase includes the construction of 2km from Hathipaon to Library.

It includes the construction of rope-way stations, a control room, waiting areas, and parking facilities and the installation of towers, cable car machinery and overhead cables.

In August 2014, UIPC has secured environmental clearance for the project.

The project will be developed through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode of Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.

On March 3, 2016, bids were issued with submission date on April 18, 2016, which was later extended to May 9, 2016.
