Herbicides are specific category of pesticides used to control unwanted plants during cultivation. They are mainly used in agricultural production and turf management. Based on mode of action, herbicides can be categorized in two types, namely, selective and non-selective. Selective herbicides are used to destroy specific targets without harming the plants.
