Scope
The Monteagudo-Muyupampa-Ipati Highway Development project involves the construction of a 96.13km road in Chuquisaca department, Bolivia.

Summary
The Administradora Boliviana de Carreteras (ABC) plans to develop the Monteagudo–Muyupampa–Ipati Highway Development project in Chuquisaca department, Bolivia.

The project involves the construction of a 96.13km road, a tunnel and other related infrastructure and is divided into three sections:

a. The construction of a 49km road between Monteagudo and Muyupampa
b. The construction of a 47km road between Muyupampa and Ipati
c. The construction of a 1.26km, 10m wide tunnel

Local contractor Consorcio Chuquisaca was appointed as contractor for the Monteagudo - Muyupampa section, and Asociación Accidental Benavides Millares y Asociados was appointed as contractor for the Muyupampa-Ipati section of the project.

Servicons Geotecnia was appointed as study contractor for the Incahuasi tunnel project, and its construction has been put out to tender. Construction work on the road sections was recently halted, and ABC cancelled the construction contracts due to delays in construction work.

For the construction of the project, Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina(CAF) will provide 70% finance and Gobierno Autónomo Departamental de Chuquisaca finance the rest 30%.

In September 2014, tender process for the construction of the project has been initiated and the contract is estimated to be awarded by the end of November 2014.

José Cartellone, Santa Fe, Corsan–Corvian and la Asociación Accidental Los Sauces II were the pre-qualified bidders for the project.

Arias y Hnos Construcciones SA for Monteagudo-Muyupampa section and José Cartellone Construcciones Civiles SA for Muyupampa-Ipati section and tunel are appointed as contractor on the project.
