Agencia Nacional de Infraestructura (ANI) announced plans to develop the Santander de Quilichao-Popayan Road project in Cauca, Colombia.
The project involves the construction of a 76km dual carriageway, seven sections, 23 bridges, 20 intersections and related facilities, and the installation of signaling and lighting facilities.
In January 2015, ANI launched a concession tender for the project.
On August 11, 2015, the tender was awarded to the Consorcio Hidalgo e Hidalgo S.A. consortium formed by Hidalgo e Hidalgo Sucursal Colombia, Hidalgo e Hidalgo Colombia SAS, Cass Constructores y Cia and Carlos Alberto Solarte Solarte.
