Summary
Boryeong LNG Terminal Corp (BLTC) is undertaking the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea.

The project involves the construction of an LNG terminal on 107.9ha of land. It includes the construction of three 52.8 million gallons LNG storage tanks, a 45,000 tonnes LPG tank and a regasification plant, the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, safety and security systems.

Korea Gas Technology Corporation and TGE Gas Engineering GmbH have been appointed as consulting engineer, and Alpex Engineering & Construction to undertake steel structure work for LNG storage tanks.

On May 14, 2013, a joint venture (JV) of GS Engineering and Construction (GS E&C) and SK Engineering and Construction (SK E&C) was awarded US$680 million construction contract. The contract will be split in the share of 54.15:45.85 between GS E&C and SK E&C respectively.

In August 2016, tank erection works were ongoing.

Construction works are underway and scheduled for completion in 2017.
