It also produces and distributes electricity. CEPSA is also into manufacturing, distribution, and sale of basic petrochemicals, petrochemical intermediates, and chemical products. It operates a retail network of gas stations in Spain and Portugal. The company is subsidiary of International Petroleum Investment Company, an Abu Dhabi-based wealth management company. CEPSA is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
As a part of its growth strategy, the company plans to expand to new geographies in the Petrochemicals business. In line with this, the company built a new service station called Trinitarios in Pamplona, which offers Star Diesel, Optima Diesel, Star 95, Optima 98 and Autogas. In addition, it entered into exploration and production market in Abu Dhabi through partnership with Japans Cosmo Oil. It also plans to utilize innovative technologies in exploration and production operations for increasing its cost efficiency.
