Summary
Communaute Urbain de Marseille (CUM) is undertaking the construction of the Marseille A50 Boulevard Urbain Sud Bypass Road on the National Highway A50 at Marseille, in Provence-Alpes-Cote d Azur region of France.

The project involves the construction of a 7.9km bypass road that will link Pointe Rouge to the national highway A50 and the L2 connecting route to the Florian Interchange. The boulevard bypass will cross and connect eleven districts of the 8th, 9th and 10th arrondissements of Marseille.

The project is being developed in two sections: First section includes the construction of a 3.1km four-way road line between Parangon and Delattre de Tassigny, dividers, security barriers and related facilities. The second phase of the project involves the construction of a 4.8km four-way line between Delattre de Tassigny and Florian.

The public inquiry process was held between October 7, 2015 and November 6, 2015.

The public utility status process completed in the second quarter of 2016.

On September 13, 2016, the project obtained the public utility status.

In July 2017, the construction work was commenced, and will be completed by 2020.
