Summary
Department of Electricity Development (DOED) is planning to develop a multi-purpose power project in Nepal.

The project involves the construction of a 270m high rock fill main dam with an installed capacity of 10,800 MW and 24m high re-regulating dam (at 8km downstream of the main dam) with an installed capacity of 84 MW (6x 14 MW) and Irrigation potential in Nepal is 191,000 net hectors and 3,200,000 gross hectares.

It will include construction of powerhouses, substations, water canals, the installation of turbines and the laying of transmission lines.

Muktishree Pvt. Ltd has been appointed to prepare detailed project report (DPR) and Himalayan Power Consultant as study consultant.

Nepal Environmental and Scientific Services Pvt.Ltd. has been appointed as environment consultant.

Feasibility studies completed has been complete din April 2015.
