Summary
Eko Petrochemical and Refining Co. Ltd (EPRC), a subsidiary of Integrated Oil and Gas Ltd (IOG), is undertaking the construction of a modular refinery in Lagos, Nigeria.

The project involves the construction of a modular refinery with a capacity of 20,000 barrels per day on 90ha of land. It includes the construction of pipelines, storage tanks, distillation units, a flour mill, a ship repair yard, a helipad site and resort centers, and the installation of a conversion unit and safety systems.

In December 2015, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process commenced for the refinery.

In February 2016, EPRC secured approval for a provisional license and preliminary work from the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

The project is being financed by Nigerian and international financial institutions.

VFuels LLC has been appointed as study consultant.

In September 2017, US trade and development agency (USTDA) approved a US$1 million for the feasibility study to recommend technologies and develop an implementation plan for the proposed refinery. Upon completion, the feasibility study will give detailed engineering design and technical analyses required to develop an implementation plan.
