The US$285 million project includes the following:

Summary
Fotowatio Renewable Ventures BV (FVR) is undertaking the construction of a solar photovoltaic (PV) farm in Queensland, Australia.

The project involves the construction of 100MW solar farm on 340ha of land. It includes the construction of access tracks, electrical substations, the installation of 35,000 PV-Polycrystalline module solar panels and transformers, and the laying of transmission lines.

URS Australia Pty Ltd has been appointed to assist with the development application. Environmental Ethos appointed as environmental consultant.

In December 2014, FVR applied for Development Application (DA) with the Burdekin Shire Council and was granted approval in May 2015.

In October 2015, the Queensland Government approved the project.

In May 2016, Origin Energy signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with an option to develop a further 35MW of capacity in the farm.

On December 30, 2016, Downer EDI Ltd was awarded US$136 million Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and a two-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract.

On January 2, 2017, FVR achieved financial closure.

In March 2017, Trina Solar was appointed to supply the solar PV modules for the project.

On April 21, 2017, Construction activities are commenced.

In June 2017, Ingeteam was appointed as a supply contractor and a sale agreement with a consortium consisting of Lighthouse Infrastructure and DIF for the 100MW AC.

The construction is expected to be completed in first quarter of 2018.
