At this year's Alimentaria, the Innovation Tracking Team witnessed packaging go outside the norm with yogurt appearing in shake and serve plastic pouches, while jam was presented in novel metal tubes. Other packaging innovations included a frozen cocktail mix that allows the consumer to mix, serve, and store, all in the same stand up pouch.
