About Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement
Transcatheter heart valve replacement systems are cardiovascular devices that repair the aortic valve without removing the old and damaged valves. It is used to treat aortic valve disorders such as regurgitation, aortic stenosis, and degeneration. TAVI is performed in two ways, transfemoral approach (through the femoral artery) and transapical approach (through a small chest incision).
