Summary
Oman Wastewater Services Company (Haya Water) is undertaking the Sewage Treatment Plant Sea Outfalls and Auzaibah Central Pumping Station project in Muscat governorate, Oman.
The project involves the construction of a 3.6km long Sea Outfall with water depth up to 44m. It includes the construction of Auzaibah central pumping station, installation of instruments and safety systems.
Darsait catchment will cover the areas of Al-Bustan, Aynt, Bait al-Falaj, Darsait, coastal Darsait, Hamriya, Muscat, Muttrah, Ruwi, Sidab and Wadi Kabir.
Halcrow was appointed to undertake feasibility studies and designs works on the project in 2010.
In March 2013, Haya Water issued tender for design-build contract with submission deadline as August 5, 2013.
On August 27, 2013, Combined Group Contracting Company (CGCC), Hani Archirodon, Sezai Turkes, Tecnicas Reunidas and Towell Infrastructure Projects have submitted bids for the project.
In August 2014, Tecnicas Reunidas has been appointed as the design-build contractor.
In August 2016, 85% of construction works were completed. Remaining works are underway.
