Istanbul University (Istanbul) is undertaking the redevelopment of Capa and Cerrahpasa hospital campuses in Istanbul, Turkey.
The project involves the construction of two medical campuses namely Capa and Cerrahpasa on 28ha of land.
The Cerrahpasa medical campus involves the construction of a 911-bed hospital over an area of 600,000m2 comprising a medical faculty hospital, a transplantation center, a maternity and children hospital, and an experimental medical research center.
The Capa medical campus will include the construction of an 863-bed hospital over an area of 500,000m2 comprising a medical faculty hospital, a cardiology institute, a maternity and children hospital, a Behçet research center, a forensics institute and center, a nursing school and a guest house.
Systematica has been appointed as traffic consultant, Proger SPA as lead consultant, and Prota Engineering and RPA PERUGIA as engineering design consultants for the project.
Engineering design activities are underway and expected to be completed by 2018.
