Summary
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and Ohio Department of Transportation (ODoT) are jointly planning to construct a bridge and a road segment in the US.

The project involves construction of a new bridge, rehabilitation of the existing Brent Spence Bridge and the reconstruction of a 12.55km road from north of the Western Hills Viaduct in Ohio to the Dixie Highway interchange in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

The project includes construction of service roads, barriers, supporting walls, pedestrian walkways and related infrastructure and the installation of signaling and safety systems.

The project is one of the US government’s 50 priority infrastructure projects listed under the "Priority List: Emergency & National Security Projects" document.

Parsons Brinckerhoff in association with TranSystems Corporation, HDR, Inc., Redwing Ecological Services, Gray & Pepe Inc. and Third Rock Consultants has been appointed as study consultant to prepare Environmental Assessment for the project.

In December 2013, preliminary plan for the project was submitted to the Federal Highway Administration.
