Liberty Metals & Mining Holdings, LLC, a subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance(LMM), Yara Dallol B.V.(YD) and XLR Capital Limited (XLR) is undertaking the construction of a potash processing plant in Dallol, Ethiopia.
The project involves the construction of a potash processing plant with a processing capacity of 600,000 tons per annum (TPA).
The project includes the construction of a processing unit, a crushing unit, warehouses, a storage unit and related infrastructure and the installation of machinery.
Novopro Projects has completed feasibility and implementation study for the project.
In November 2015, SNC-Lavalin was appointed as EPCM Contractor for the project.
In November 2017, developers have signed a mining agreement with Ministry of Mines for the development of the project. Construction works are scheduled to be completed by 2019.
